The
First Annual Golf Tournament to benefit the Project Christine Fund
took place at Hollow Creek Golf Course [Middletown, Maryland] on
September 8th, 2003, when 80 golfers took to the links. Prizes were
awarded to first, second and third place teams as well as winners
for longest drive, closest to the pin and other course contests.
The golfers were joined in the evening by additional supporters
of Project Christine and the day was topped off with dinner and
a silent auction with fabulous prizes which were all donated by
area businesses. Over 72 sponsors contributed to the tournament’s
success, realizing $16,000+ in proceeds. “We are deeply humbled
by the generous outpouring of support for this golf tournament to
benefit Project Christine and are extremely appreciative of the
ongoing concern and care shown to our family and, more importantly,
to our efforts to help other families faced with a similar ordeal,”
shared Mr. and Mrs. Tipsord.
